Plot Summary: Based in the 14th century, the movie is based on the story of Hamirji Gohil, a youth warrior belonging to the Arthil village of Gujarat, who offers his life in order to safeguard Hinduism. With the spread of the Tughlaq Empire led by Zafar Khan, Subedar of Gujarat, Islamic conversion is practiced and temples are ruined. Defiant to surrender, Hamirji tries to consolidate Gujarat kings to fight Zafar Khan but is rebuffed. Unfazed, Hamirji arrives at Somnath Temple on Mahashivratri to mobilize Hindu troops. When Rasool Khan makes an unexpected attack, Hamirji's bravery puts Rasool Khan to defeat. Incensed, Zafar Khan commands all temples to be destroyed, beginning with Somnath. Hamirji confronts the enormous Tughlaq army with merely 200 soldiers, assisted by Vegdabhil. Though their bravery and strategy are no match, they are greatly outnumbered.
